Letterpress printing dates back hundreds of years. These days, it’s fancy, beautiful, and high-brow. Its cost is higher than most other forms of printing, but you also have the option of exquisite metallic inks, foil-stamping, and that tactile relief printing that calls to readers like sirens to sailors. Because of the time to set type, or the cost to make plates, its economy of scale is fairly steep, but this also means it’s surprisingly affordable at quantity.
